A little bit about M.O.O.

 

The Money Order Office represents a time that was grand in old
Melbourne town. Trams were still drawn by horse, bush rangers were still common on the out skirts of the city & Australia was still one 
of the colonies.

Erected as a sister building to the Melbourne G.P.O. Originally used as clearing offices for money orders, it has been home to the office of enemy debts, the public trustee, custodian of expropriated property & the parliamentary offices of two former prime ministers (Chifley & Menzies).

The Basement has been home to The Money Order Office (M.O.O.) Tapas - Bar - Dining since 2004.
